THE WHISPERS, HAVE HAD THE GOOD FORTUNE OF KNOWING RICHARD” DICK” GRIFFEY, SINCE 1974. ALTHOUGH IT IS WELL DOCUMENTED THAT WE DIDN'T ALWAYS AGREE OVER THE YEARS, WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD GREAT LOVE AND RESPECT FOR THE BLESSING THAT GOD PERMITTED US TO BE TO EACH OTHER, IN OUR BUSINESS, PROFESSIONAL AND PERSON LIVES.

HIS EMINENT INTELLECT AND ROBUST PHYSICAL STATURE WAS EQUALLED ONLY BY HIS UNIQUE SENSE OF HUMOR, BEWITCHING BAD BOY SMILE AND HIS GOD GIVEN VISIONARY ATTRIBUTES, QUALITIES THAT CAN NOT BE TAUGHT, BOUGHT, BORROWED OR STOLEN.

OUR GREATEST REGRET IS THAT FATHER TIME WAS NOT KIND AS TO GIVE US THE OPPORTUNITY TO TELL DICK, JUST HOW MUCH WE LEARNED FROM HIM AND JUST HOW THANKFUL WE WILL ALWAYS BE THAT OUR LIVES TOUCHED HIS IN THIS ALL TO SHORT ODYSSEY CALLED LIFE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, TILL TIME INDEFINITE, THERE WILL BE A VACANCY IN THE HEARTS OF EACH MEMBER OF THE WHISPERS. WE SINCERELY HOPE THIS SOBERING OCCASION WILL CAUTION US ALL TO, ”NEVER PUT OFF TILL TOMORROW WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY” AMEN!

IN CLOSING, WE WOULD LIKE TO ENCOURAGE THE SURVIVING FAMILY MEMBERS AND DEAR FRIENDS OF DICK GRIFFEY', TO READ PSALMS 23, IN YOUR HOLY BIBLES: IN PARTICULAR VERSE:4 WHICH SAYS,“YEAH THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH: I WILL FEAR NO EVIL; FOR YOU ARE WITH ME; YOUR ROD AND YOUR STAFF THEY COMFORT ME”. HIS UNIQUE VOCAL STYLE AND THE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC THAT HE BLESSED US ALL WITH WILL FOREVER ECHO IN THE CORRIDORS OF OUR HEARTS.......ALTHOUGH IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO JOIN YOU IN SHEDDING TEARS OF PAIN AND LOST, WE PRAY THAT THOSE TEARS OF PAIN AND LOST WILL BE REPLACE BY TEARS OF HOPE AND JOY WHEN WE READ WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT THE CONDITION OF OUR DEPARTED LOVE ONES; ECCL.9:5 "THE LIVING ARE CONSCIOUS THAT THEY WILL DIE ; BUT THE DEAD IS CONSCIOUS OF NOTHING AT ALL." ---THEY ARE SIMPLY IN A STATE OF REST AS EXPRESSED BY OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, WHEN HE SAID TO HIS DISCIPLES REFERRING TO THE DEATH OF LAZARUS AT JOHN 11:11-14 " LAZARUS OUR FRIEND HAS GONE TO REST, BUT I AM GOING THERE TO AWAKEN HIM.,..... BUT THEY DID NOT FULLY UNDERSTAND .THEN JESUS SAID TO THEM OUTSPOKENLY: " LAZARUS HAS DIED."

SO WE PRAY ONE DAY SOON THAT WE WILL ALL BE ABLE TO REJOICE FOR RON, KNOWING THAT HE HAS PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT, HE HAS FINISHED THE RACE AND FINALLY, HE REST IN PEACE!!!!!!!

We are deeply saddened by Sean’s sudden departure and we express our most sincere condolences to our dear friend Eddie and the Levert family. We will continue to pray for you with the understanding that the Lord has a reason for everything he does and this was Sean’s time to go home to a better place. He will always be remembered for the gifts he shared with us.

We hope that the Levert family finds the courage and determination to bear this irreparable loss by knowing that Sean is on an eternal journey with God where he is singing and praising with the heavenly angels and there is joy and peace in his heart.

I THINK, SOMETIMES, WE LOOSE TRACK OF THE TRUE MEANING AND IN- TENT OF CHRISTMAS. WE HAVE BEEN BRAIN-WASHED, OVER THE YEARS, INTO THE BELIEF THAT CHRISTMAS IS THE SEASON TO SHOWER ONE ANOTHER WITH PRESENTS, MAKING UNWISE DECISION, GETTING INTO LONG TERM DEBT BUYING SINGLE DAY GIFTS TO OFTEN WE CAN NOT AFFORD, HENCE ”THE COMMERCIAL CHRISTMAS OF MAN”

HOWEVER THERE IS ANOTHER CHRISTMAS, WHICH CELEBRATES THE BIRTH OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS, THE CHRIST.

Hello Everyone:

Please let the words that I tell you, educate and help you.

A few months ago, I was experiencing some shortness of breath and decided to have a full physical done. I was not expecting any bad news, but rather a simple remedy to a simple problem. I was definitely wrong. I was diagnosed with heart disease. After alerting my family and dealing with the "why me?" and the "I don't deserve this", I decided to fight back. This is certainly not the end.

I am currently recovering from surgery. With each passing day I am feeling better and look forward to returning to The Whispers very soon. I encourage all that are reading this to know and understand that there are people out there that are just like me, that have not taken the time to go to the doctor. If you love them, have them go and get checked out before it is too late. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States and account for 29% of all U.S. deaths.

As for me, I have been a Whisper for the past 35 years and I intend to continue to do so until the Lord says my time is done. I appreciate all of the kind words, flowers and prayers that I have received over this trying time. My family, friends and fans have been of the upmost support to me. Please consider my life to be just like the lyrics to " And The Beat Goes On"

Heart Attacks and Warm Water

The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals...not cold water...maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating!!!
Nothing to lose, everything to gain...
For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine.
Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.
A serious note about heart attacks: You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware.
The more we know, the better chance we could survive...

So, As You Go Through Your Time Of Grievance, Please Seek The Console Of Jehovah God Through Our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ.
Please! Draw Close To God And He Will Draw Close To You.
